Morrell House June 5

First we deepened the side ditches

Then they added the rebar
Today I helped out again with the Morrell House restoration project. I did some digging again, but not nearly as much as last time. This time we deepened the footing ditches for the wheelchair ramp, and also dug out where the sidewalk and footing for the stairwell will be next to the ramp. Other people fitted rebar to the wheelchair ramp area.

I also helped out the electrical contractors Mario and Dana. I put in several connectors and light boxes in the living room, and helped Dana figure out the junction box under house in the crawl space. We separated the electrical outlets from the lights. They must run on separate circuits. I also removed a sprinkler head that was going to be where the sidewalk would soon be poured. It looks like we will have the wheelchair ramp poured in a week or two.

Comments:
I'm impressed with how much progress you guys are making! It's particularly interesting given the fact that work is only being done on Saturdays and it's all volunteer. Great job! :)
